Guy thread ;)

Seen many girl threads, our turn!

So tell me your troubles as a guy!

Personally my biggest grief is that everyone expects you to be made of stone, strong and unyielding and emotionless, but the second you do everyone tells you to chill out! Then when you do act sensitive everyone calls you girly and tells you to toughen up!!!!

Well, I'm not a guy but I think there is nothing wrong with a guy showing emotions. I had a neighbor I used to petsit for and when he found out his dog had cancer he said he cried. Then he said it was silly for a grown man to cry. I said no it's not. I told him go ahead and cry. Your dog is like a member of the family so go ahead and grieve. There is nothing wrong with it.

When my parents took my Sadie to be put down I said my goodbyes to her and for her sake I showed strength but I was barely inside the door before I completely fell apart. I have never cried so much in my life but she was my life long friend.

Of course I'm not one to be afraid of crying, I sometimes do it just because I feel I need to. But my dad I have NEVER seen him cry, even when he lie dying of kidney failure (don't worry he got better).

It's OK, Kinetic. That only applies to kids under 50 years old. It gets better after that.

Wait, what does? Crying?

Anyways I stopped caring and am really enjoying my being gay now. Now there's no grief over it, if they call me girly I tell them "almost" then give them a wink and a sly smile. Then they're so wierded out they leave me alone.

Nonono...I meant pressure and expectations. But I see you've transcended that.

I love it. Congratulations. I hope that continues to work well for you in VA.
