Oh geez, I really misread/misunderstood that one.

Note to self: Read a few more posts back next time.

I'm glad nobody voted goldfish....lol. They are among the hardest to care for carp if you get a fancy breed. Otherwise they're very hardy, but you need the correct water params, tank size, filters, etc to make it live 20+ years like it should.....Oh, how many times I've heard idiots spew "Goldfish are only supposed to live a couple of years"....

7 bettas, 2 goldfish, 50+ (accidental) snails, 2 parakeets, 1 dog, 2 cats

Rest in peace Butch, greatest dog ever, Omelette the Veiltail, and Chipita the Veiltail

My pet toad was the easiest pet to care for, other than my insects. Toss in some crickets, clean the terrarium once in a while (doesn't take long if you scoop out soiled parts every few days), and make sure there is a container of water. If you get a species that spends more time on land than water, it is even easier than one with higher water needs. Mine just had a removable container of water to swim in, so I did not even have to do giant water changes. Just pop the container out, clean it, put fresh water in, and put the container back in.

All animals deserve respect, not just the cute and pretty ones.
Without "bugs", we would lose about 1/3 of our food, be nose high in decay, and entire ecosystems (including everything that supports the popular animals!) would collapse.
