How cute :) I love the drunken walk when they first start out.

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

My daughter is almost one, and she hasn't started walking yet. She's too spoiled, she likes having everything done for her, she wouldn't hold her bottle for the longest time. She'd give me a look like, "Hey MOMMA, this is YOUR job, not mine."

My older brother started walking at 8-9 months. Pretty early considering the average baby starts walking at around 11-12 months or so. He is a smart guy too. Must be something to being mobile at an early age.

from a young age (as soon as he knew what to do with it) we've given him a lot of "independent play time" where we're here for him to interact with him, but let him try to do new things on his own at the same time, rather than do them for him. i'm absolutely certain our goldfish tank was a big part of his learning to stand on his own. the first time he pulled himself up to his feet on furniture was when he was trying to get a closer look at those weird spotty things floating around in the big box.

haha my mom said it best "you spend the first two years trying to get them to walk and talk, and then the next sixteen years trying to get them to sit down and shut up!"
