What camera do you use?

I am shopping around for a new camera. I've mostly been lurking Adorama and Ebay. I want a digital camera, one that does well with fast movement. I photograph equestrian sports, my animals and family events.

I'd also love to see photos of what you photograph with this camera. I don't need anything fancy, just simple point/shoot camera that does well with high speed and has a quiet shutter.

Thanks!

Thanks for your answers AngelicScars. I've seen several of your photos and their very professional looking.

ETA: I found a Powershot on Adorama. Good price for a decently used camera. $49

I would post mine, but it is a DSLR. Great camera, but probably a bit out of your price point and definitely heavier than you want. lol. Good luck!

Remember that the tank your fish lives in is his or her's whole world. Ask yourself this question, and answer it honestly: would you choose to live there?

I've been using a Panasonic Lumix for the pictures in my Spawn Log (link in my signature) and it performs good for a point and shoot.

My current camera is an older DSLR that is a retired forensics camera. It worked great up until the battery gave out and wouldn't hold a charge. I haven't been able to find it's battery anywhere!

As far as weight it concerned, I don't mind the heavier ones. I actually prefer them because I'll have a better grip on them and won't drop them(like I did with my phone last night x|)

Thank you!

I've been told by several people that Nikon is an excellent DSLR and Canon is an excellent P&S. I haven't been disappointed.

You're welcome :)

How well does the Powershot hold up against fast movement?

There is an option on there for kids/animals because they move so quickly.
I can't recall if I needed it for fast movement or not or if the shots came out. I'm sorry.
