Yes, it will be when I get to Texas. I'm not ruling out a shelter dog. I want a puppy though that I can raise and train myself.

I understand the puppy thing, I rather an adult though lol Puppies can get on my nerves!! That's me though

Wait, does Animal Planet still have those shows?? I should watch them while AP is free! Matt doesn't want to watch them though :( I'm always like, "either there's happy endings, justice is served or you really just comofrt yourself knowing euthanization is better than living in some of their cases" :<

They don't mess around with animal abuse in Texas.

Well what ever you do get I'm sure that it will have a great home DQ.

Yeah, puppies can be annoying to train at times but you might have a closer bond with the dog. I think the two worst things are potty training and chewing with puppies. In some cases it is better to get a Ln adult dog that is already potty trained.

Let us or at least me when you get your dog though.

I AM kind of nervous about housebreaking g s puppy. I've never done it before. I plan on using the crate method.

Crates are good. The lab we got as a pup loves his kennel - if he thinks we're leaving, he just trots off to his crate and sits there for us to close the door. No kidding, it's been a godsend because otherwise he has separation anxiety and will eat the house while we're gone.

My pug's spay costs the same as another dog's neuter. I got her fixed at the SPCA. Cost me about $60, not including her kennel cough vaccine.

I've gone through potty training once in my life. And ever since, I vowed that my next pup will be completely potty trained. I will NOT do it again.
