What to do?

OK, so I'm going to be moving hopefully in a few months and I'm trying to get rid of stuff. The problem is I have stuff I've saved from years ago like old birthday and Christmas cards from my grandmother and an aunt and I don't know what to do with them. I also have 3 yearbook's, one each from the highschools I attended that I never look at. I keep in touch with 3 people I graduated with and 2 people I went go school with from here. I also have boxes of pictures I took years ago in Mexico and the San Diego Zoo and Knotts Berry Farm. What should I do with all this stuff? I hate to throw it away but I kind of hate to keep it, too. Thoughts? Ideas? Opinions?

I think you can have photos put on a CD? I would go thru all the stuff, make a "keep" pile and a "toss" pile. I bet the "keep" pile will be very small

Yea, scanning the photos and putting them on a CD, or even a USB memory stick is a good idea. WAY less space, but you don't have to technically have that "I'll never see this again!" issue (I know I have a hard time throwing some things away).

taking a break from fish-keeping.
3 lovely male betta still keep me company.

As for your old yearbooks if you're not interested in keeping them, you could contact the schools and offer them to them. Who knows? Maybe there's someone out there looking for the very book you have. They say to start with your old high school if someone wishes to replace a lost yearbook. Sadly, I know this because I have lost my old 1983 senior yearbook.

I don't have a way to scan anything. My printer/scanner isn't working at the moment.

Bounces' idea is very good.

Also google "Greeting card book". You can take all of your cards, and make them into a book. This way you never lose any, and can look at them at any time. It's easier to store also.

As far as the photos go; you can put together a photo album until your scanner works to put them on a CD. I still look at my mom's photo albums from the '90s. I love the nostalgia! This makes them easier to access rather than just having them in a box or something.

I'd like to do some scrap booking someday if the stuff wasn't so expensive.

Yes it is expensive, and quite time consuming. If you have a Hobby Lobby where you live, they often have 50% off sales. You can also go on their website and print 40% off coupons all day.
