Fancy Rat Costumes

I decided since I was talking about making a fully functional underwater mermaid tail this summer so I could get to work on my dream of finally being a mermaid and inspiring little girls to follow their dreams for a wise person once said "When people tell me i can't do something I turn and tell them "watch me."

With working on this I was inspired to share some of my old costumes I have designed over the years in memory from where I came from and how i have improved over the years.

Meet the Fairies:

This is Thistle Thorn Willowhip my alter fairy ego. I dressed up for the Minnesota Renfest, for three birthday parties, and appeared at an anime convention. Also did two photoshoots.

I love how you got your hair in on the costume too! Most people just leave it straight and perfect, not very realistic, methinks.

Hi! I'm a professional fairy too. :) I work at children's parties. My costume is provided by my company, though, so nothing like as individual as yours!

Yay, it's so much fun

This year I am making a new costume, smaller wings but MUCH more decoration. I'm going to be Mab the fairy queen or Titania. Not sure yet who it will be. I'm making a crown with LED light up branches and moss and everything. Also going to have a staff of twisted wood bound together with a giant blue orb inside it. Going to take my idea of the vine bustle and make a LONG train with a beautiful wrap top and skirt made of moss and silk. Might also have shoulder guards made from bark and moss. Plus lots of glitter, glitter everywhere. Sounds silly but all of my costumes are like my children. Thistle is my oldest.

Very Inventive! :)

I'd love to dress up and go to an event like that or be in a parade or something. I love "old world" looking stuff, so I'd probably want to do something like that.
