Fundraising ideas?

I have a sick pet in need of surgery or he will have to be PTS ... I don't start my job until next week which means no paycheck for a week or two ... needless to say I can't put his surgery off that long ... any ideas?

Sometimes local humane societies/shelters have emergency funds or will work with you on payments, have you called around?

He is a rat.. humane societies don't care , I have two vets for him one doesn't take a payment plan at all the other said I need to have half up front ... I am still waiting for the surgery estimate .. I do wish vets would do payment plans with regulars ... its not like they would stiff them if they are their normal vet

Could you borrow from family possibly and pay them back?

Unfortunately my family does not support me having rats let alone taking them to the vet :( I am trying to sell one of my spare tanks right now so hopefully that will help

Worst case I'd start looking at those places that give pay day loans? Not that I have much experience with them.. Hope something works out.

The one that won't I have only been to a few times ... my other vet I have been going to since I got Apollo, they said its no problem ..
However the newer vet is far more experienced ...
