Goofy gift

I was trying to think of what to get my dad for Father's Day, when out of nowhere, it occurred to me to make a plush! I sat there for a few minutes, trying to decide what to make, he's not into Jackalopes, that's my thing, he likes history... I haven't made people yet, so I'm not going there....

He always used to tell us about all of the mischief he'd caused when he was younger, and told me about Snipe hunting... THAT'S IT! A Snipe!!

So, while I'm waiting for the materials (crazy plaid fleece and a gunny sack to catch him in), and in between sewing orders, and subsequently prizes, I decided to take some time to draw up my ideas.
This is the fleece I'll be using.

A rough drawing of Mr. Snipe, so I know what I want to do when my fabric arrives.

And my snipe in his natural habitat. (He's kind of a mix between a real snipe, and a duck...not sure why)

I'm thinking about printing that drawing on the front of a card/brochure with funny Snipe facts inside, but unfortunately, I don't know any funny snipe facts, and my brain is too fried to come up with any. lol

What do you all think?
Also, if anyone has some factoids, I'll include them if I do the "hunter's brochure".

I think it's sweet. Your dad will appreciate the gesture.

Also, I found this:

What a great idea Skye, I always thought Snipe hunting was like a myth type joke but wow they are real birds and so adorable I might add, I am so excited to learn there are real birds called Snipes. Your dad is going to love his gift

the gift is based on the joke myth. So it doesn't look anything like an actual snipe.

Here he is! Please ignore my dinner lol:
