Question Resting Habit

Lately, Rusty has been resting in a certain spot in his tank. It is the grassy patch which is to right of the little turtle that all of you will see in my tank picture attachment. Is it common for betta fishes to rest in one spot for a couple of minutes and then swim off again. Let me know what all of you think this could mean? He has no ich or velvet. The water temperature at the moment is 81.0 degrees.

The longer finned fish like to rest a lot. The plakat and doubletail types like to swim almost constantly. Resting is normal and they have their favorite spots. Your fish might like one of those floating betta logs!
