World War II, I grew up with a few Veterans of WWII (military brat) and they were amazing people. Lots of stories, very kind... I even met a veteran recently at the Post Office! He was on a ship during the bombings in Japan, he even said that though it isn't popularly known, there were 15,000 troops getting ready to storm the shores of Japan if they didn't surrender, he was on one of those ships. He lost his eyesight in one eye, and is deaf in one ear but is such a wonderfully positive person! He reminded me of the men I knew growing up, though they have passed, they did have a large influence in my life.
I think it's very interesting, though a horrid time in the past. I personally don't think wolves come close to the rich history of World War II. There are just way too many interesting components! I think in a way the Nazi Germans shared a wolf pack mentality(you know despite basic human morals, didn't care about slaughtering millions of people and blindly following a clinically insane man because it was the popular thing to do), and simply couldn't think for themselves so I guess it's slightly wolfy too. :)
