Where can you catch wild bettas?

Hey all, I'm just wondering, is there anywhere besides Thailand that you can catch wild bettas? If not, I may just have to release a few hundred fry into the local lake

5 gallon
One betta
10 gallon
Two bettas, divided
Three mystery snails
20 gallon
Seven female bettas
Four oto cats
Five juvenile female guppies
One goldfish (temporary)
29 gallon
One dwarf gourami
Six tiger barbs

27 fish....

Just Thailand and the surrounding area I believe.

Lol, releasing fry into the local lake might be seriously illegal haha, besides....you're in Canada....don't think they'd live! But I totally wish I could just go out into my pond and be like, "Oh! lilnaugrim has caught a Wild Betta!" haha

One they are from southeast asia/thailand so really only there and second it violates several laws to release non native species into lakes/rivers/ponds/steams/creeks and so on and the fry will most likely not survive be it they are tropical fish and will not tolerate the cold

Southeast Asia, mainly Thailand and Cambodia but, by the looks of it, part of Malaysia too.
