Have you ever done this?

Keeping fish is the perfect excuse to shout "I'm doing SCIENCE!" while shaking test tubes and boiling strange liquids on the stove.

My last "For Science!" moment was trying to work out the exact amount of Mudslide to put in my coffee without getting drunk. i failed in all accounts, but man was a great "For Science!" Moment.

I was talking to my Husband the other day about how having tanks is a great lesson in practical chem for kids. When we have kids it's simple to shut down a "why do I have to learn x?" when you can literally point across the room and say "that's why". the whole conversation started with me complaining about the math of knitting.

LOL!! I do that too. My arguments for things are always, "But honey... it's for the kids. Think of what they'll learn!"

I think that's why my hubby hasn't expressed any real annoyance about the $$ I've spent on the tank and plants, etc... or me leaving buckets of random things soaking in the bathroom. :D Our girls are loving it, and we love watching them get excited over every little thing. :)
