Some cichlids are realatively easy to breed, but you need large tanks! I've bred true zebra convicts, Jelly bean parrots, Bolivian Rams, and red devils. There are a lot of breeds of plecos that sell for a pretty penny, especially zebra plecos. And plecos aren't too difficult to breed if setup correctly. I bred bristle nose plecos at one point

Thanks Zenandra!
Also that's cool that you have been able to breed different types of fish.
I might breed the Cories though because when the fry get bigger I could keep them in my sorority tank until I sell them. So I don't really need a bigger tank.

Over the years I have bred lots of different species, some for fun and some to see if I could do it.
Beside the Betta splendens this year I am spawning, Neons tetra, long finned gold and silver Danios, fancy guppies, gambusia.
Today my long finned albino plecos Ancistrus sp fry came out of the cave, looks to be about 30 or so.
Last year I spawned the Corydoras aeneus or the common bronze cory cat beside the ones listed above.
Breeding and spawning is lots of fun in my opinion and you can learn so much.

How was breeding the Corydora Aeneus like?
Also what do YOU do with the fry?

The bronze Cory cats are pretty easy to breed with the right condition.

Personally my favorite species of cory cats is Corydoras paleatus, which is the peppered cory. I especially love the version with the long and curled dorsal fin. They breed the same way with the ice cubes and shallow water.
