Ah, the devil's reject is good too. I feel the need to watch it everytime it comes on tv, so I've seen it a lot. It's disturbing but good.

The Others might be good for you BettaSlave. It's not that scary, just more of a paranormal movie. I remember watching it when I was like 10 and I was a scardy cat then.

I hate being such a fraidy cat... At age 13 I should be able to handle this stuff! XD

The Devil's Rejects... mostly action? Doesn't look that horror-ish, more of a thriller type, I assume?

The Unborn I am definitely watching... The Others looks really good. I wish I could watch every movie suggested here!

Legion had some pretty scary parts and it was a good movie... it wasn't really a horror though.

RE: The Exorcist, I saw the Exorcist in 1973 or 1974 in a theater, whenever it came out. There had never been a film like it before, with that kind of special effects. It was just horrifying. Of course, I was 17 at the time too. It is very frightening but may not be as exciting as some of the slasher flicks today. Kids were not de-sensitized to violence and horror like they are today. We were more innocent and pure as far as visual entertainment goes. No cable or internet or computers, another world. The Exorcist gets to you in the core of your being. Or did me. It was also rumored that there were single frames of rotting flesh inserted in the film that the viewer was not conscience of but that was like a subliminal message. It was to make the viewer uneasy, but not allow them to really know why. Could be an urban legend, don't know. Also, there are sequels. The first Exorcist is what you are looking for....Diane

If you want something really scary, see REC. It's a Spanish horror film and it's what "Quarantine" is based on... but don't see Quarantine... original foreign horror movies are better than their American remakes...

BTW Wolfcreek is an Australian film, based on a true story. Horrifying events.

Dead End is a very well written story of a family on a Christmas road trip. Scary but best watched alone or in a small group so you can feel "alone" and there is no one interrupting.

The Hannible series of movies, watch in order. Very intelligent movies.
