I'm sorry. Sometimes the most insensitive ones are the ones closest to us. Hang in there, Okami. *hugs*

Grr, bad drivers. Don't they understand that's a weapon they are sitting in?

Anti-Rant: Yay done with finals! Now a week and a half of just relaxing and working. I'm excited for next term though, zoology, calculus and modern fiction. I don't think it will be that bad, at least compared to this term, lol.

I hate school. And essays. Yeah, mostly essays. *sigh* Only 8 (at the least) years left.....

Don't wish it away too quickly. At the risk of sounding ancient and reminiscy, even Year 6 doesn't seem that long ago...and yet I'm already past the halfway mark in my degree, and it is scary. I don't want to leave the nice, comfy, relaxed routine of uni (when it isn't exam time, anyway) and enter the big scary world of real work and real people.

Life.

Yeah. I just do not appreciate the importance of essays... I'm going to be an engineer, not an English teacher. *sighs*

One thing my friends in Engineering degrees have told me: employers value your communication skills massively. Many people in their degree are stellar engineers but can't get their point across effectively in the written word. Good English marks will help in any course you choose to do, in that respect. :)

you might think you don't need good essay writing skills going into a engineering degree .. BUT in the real world (after schooling) .. you will be doing a lot of "reporting" and paperwork and not to mention research papers .. even more so in an engineering degree because your going to have to explain all the technical aspects to a boss .. or to a board of directors .. that will not understand engineering at all .. so you'll have to put it in words till they understand .. which is basically writing essays over and over .. they just don't use the word essays .. they use the different wording like "reporting" ... or proposal .. or analysis ..

College? What's that? Oh, right. That system where you pay for torture and your only reward for enduring it is a piece of paper that says you're smart.

Even cops have to learn how to write good reports. My friend's husband had to go through the sheriff's academy twice because he failed the writing part the first time.
