Then she refused to sell me one because I didn't have a basking lamp! You know some people are stupid but to think a nocturnal lizard needs a basking lamp is so idiotic that I cannot even comprehend it. And that's why I disagree because often the employee is a misinformed idiot, there are exceptions but not the rule.

Oh and years later my sweet Elliot is happy and healthy, with bright eyes and a fat tail. :3
I agree that they shouldn't be allowed to refuse service based on the employees own opinion. Not only is there alot more to the story most of the time but most petstore employees that I have met think they are knowledgeable but not all are. It is a tricky situation to define right and wrong care based on one person. I have been told that 10g is cruel because it is too big for a betta, in the past I have been yelled at for letting my ferrets run around loose in a ferret room and have been scolded for getting my finch a friend when it's other one died. One petco I was even banned from for suspected animal cruelty because I brought back a sick iguana that they sold me.

It's starting to grate on me that even though I never wanted a fourth dog (not my house), the responsibility of training and exercising said dog has fallen almost entirely on me.

Because she's reactive and needs a huge amount of mental stimulation and exercise to settle in the house, looking after Clio is a lot of work. This makes me feel bad because Clio's takes up all my time and energy, and the other dogs get ignored.

OMG a jar of maraschino cherries fell out of the fridge and busted open on the floor, and it went everywhere not to mention all over me. It was all over the kitchen, even on the ceiling! I'm still finding and cleaning spots of it up. O_O

My little Henry is one sick goldfish as he is bloated and having difficulty swimming. The good thing is that he keeps on swimming. He is a fighter and it looks like he has not given up yet. I have not given up on him either. I noticed he was bloated several days ago but kept an eye on him. Yesterday morning I found him swimming upside down so I went to get his water checked. Last night I did a water change. This morning I got water ready for another water change tonight or tomorrow. He seems to be doing better.
I am hoping and praying that Henry will survive this but I am not just relying on prayer. I am also hoping water changes would help.

Also looking for a free 3d model of a betta fish to use to make my avatar.
