So we went to visit my grandmother today..apparently she went out to change the sprinklers when my uncle (who lives with her) was working. She didn't have her walker or her call necklace and fell and broke her femur (not her hip, as was first thought). Thank goodness the neighbor saw her and called 911. She was delirious the whole time we went to see her from the pain meds. My mom got the "privacy code" required to call her (apparently my aunt has been raising a big fuss over the hospital choice, so they don't want to talk to her).
Ugh, family drama..my poor grandma. She's so darn stubborn! She "didn't need" the walker and "didn't want" the call necklace...this whole thing could have been prevented.
Edit-wait, sorry. I didn't mean that my grandma breaking her femur was family drama..just that, as I said, my mom comes from a dysfunctional family. They have strange ideas and are very argumentive...the slightest things make them blow up.
