Sak, my husband's Mom is a complete wacko. Just a few of her other peculiarities: Steve could not climb trees. Steve was not allowed to leave a snowman up in the yard. He had to knock it down once it was built. Steve was not allowed to have more then one friend over at a time. Steve's Mom shoveled snow off the driveway AND the lawn. Yep, the lawn. Steve was not allowed to have his own bedroom window open at night. His room was in the attic so we're talking over 100 degrees in the summer. I could go on and on and on. Oh and when he played outside, she stood in the window...watching. I call her Mrs. Bates.

This is kind of a rant! Yay!

Edit: Steve wasn't allowed to play with a Slinky on stairs. Ever. In his own words....What the heck else is there to DO with a Slinky?!
Poor Steve, that must have been torture growing up. It sounds like she should have been diagnosed with something? But at least now Steve has you. :) Reminds me just a bit of my grandparents on my dad's side. They wouldn't let my uncle have a bedroom door, even when he reached his teens. Because he was the youngest, my dad and my aunt had already left home for college so he was home alone a lot with my grandparents and I think they lectured him continuously on being virtuous and other religious topics. He bought a car with his own money and hid it in the orchard behind the house. They found it and took it away. I never did hear what they did with it. I say they but most of it was my grandmother with my grandpa going along with whatever she said. Needless to say, my uncle is married to a woman who has him by the uh, nose.

Well both of your grandmas but your comment about the Depends is what made me laugh out loud.

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

Oh poor Steve. Talk about overprotective. I can only imagine what her parents were like to make her that way?? Has she ever been diagnosed with a particular condition? Sheesh.....

Oh, I have lots and lots of stories about her. :) I guess in her defense, she IS 91 years old so some leakage is to be expected. And she still lives alone too. But what's scary is we only got her to stop driving just two years ago even though her eyesight has been pretty much shot for years because of the macular degeneration. Fortunately it's a very, very small town and her neighbors take good care of her.

Oh man, I really agree with you on that one, Creat. It's not like we need advertising to figure out it's a product we have to buy. -_- Not so fond of the Dulcolax ads either.

I probably shouldn't comment on that 0.0 anyway, Rant: my parents left me home alone, but I didn't realize I'm going to be alone for another 2 hours -_-and, sakura, something happened to Chiana? I'm so sorry!
