Work of Ever Worked in an LFS

I don't think I have actually ever made a thread on this section before so I managed to think of something to say haha

Basically, I was just wondering whether any of you have ever worked or currently work in a pet store/fish store before? I have always received great advise from this forum so it got me pondering maybe the majority have had working experience plus.....i'm 21 and have never had a job before and my attitude is, to do something well you must enjoy what you do and with that in mind I have been thinking about working at my LFS, not anytime soon cause of course I need to know a lot more

21 and have never had a job? What are you waiting for? Who pays for all your fish/supplies? Can I move in?

I pay for it, I am my grandfathers legal carer so that little bit of money goes towards my own hobby but someday I am going to have to get a job and look after myself lol

Yeah i'm a pretty messed up 21 year old, i've had no life since I finished college nearly 4 years ago and also have no friends. Its pathetic lol but I could never imagine moving out at 15, although my parents probably came close to throwing me out lol

It wasn't too bad, some times were rough but I managed. It was my choice.

It does count, we have a big chain store here that is like petco I don't know really, I guess this thread was more of a "get things off your chest" sort of thing since I have no1 else that I can talk to about my dead-end life lol but without me sounding stupid, how much do you actually need to know before you can work in a fish store lol,

Just bring them a resume...never hurts to try, I'm sure you have more experience with fish then most people who apply.
You should be more worried about making a good impression then your qualifications at this point. Go in, ask to speak to a manager, have a resume with you. Introduce yourself and hand the resume over.
