can amano shrimp live in colwater?

well i have a nasty amano shrimp which has killed 4 of my 7 white clouded minnows and he will occasionally go for my betta i need to remove him can he go in a coldwater tank?

5 gallon,natural planted tank with 1 betta.
20 gallon community tank.
6 gallon guppy fry tank.

According to http://www.aqua-fish.net/show.php?h=amanoshrimp here, they can live in water as cool as 71 degrees. It says they're algae eating shrimp, so I doubt it'd attack your fish unless it is hungry and not getting enough algae...

my tank is algea free so that might be why he is attacking them? but i have sat and watched him go for one of the fish. thats when i realised that he must be the culprut behind the deaths

Well, considering the fact that he has no food, I think if he was starved enough he would go for something else. Why not seperate him temporarily and feed him algae flakes and blanched cucumbers?

I will separate him i do feed him algea wafers though but he still attacks things even the ghost shrimp that was in with him.
