Oh wow. I'm so glad you're okay and that it was only property damage. What a scary night. I'm amazed. Is there anything bamboo can't do?

Thanks everyone.......it has been one wild ride....the electric went out again Wednesday night for 7 hours...boy is that getting old and it only rained....not a storm....we did get over 3 inches of rain....but no lightning.........so this mean at least another 4-5 days before I can get another propane tank due to my road..
Insurance adjuster coming today.....sure hope I am compensated for all my losses.....

*hugs* Glad your okay. Things can be replaced but people cannot after all c: Really sorry to hear about your electricity going out again though =[ Out here in IE California we don't really understand the problems rain can cause since we hardly ever see it. [And are once again in a drought]

Good luck with your insurance and hope you get compensated well.

Good to hear that no one was injured and that most of your property was saved as well--is there any preventative measures you can take as far as lightning and the propane tank? They say lightning never strikes the same place twice, but with big metal objects, I don't think the saying matters. I live in the city and everyone here uses natural gas, so I don't know much about propane, but I guess a lightning rod type contraption probably wouldn't help if there were fumes from a full propane tank available to ignite. Hopefully everything will go well with your insurance. Good luck.
