Yeah, this is definitely one of those go directly to the vet moments--respiratory infections can get pretty bad. Good to know the kitter will be getting medicine soon--hopefully it won't put too much of a dent in your wallet. Good luck.

That's good that you took him to a vet.
Btw, don't be afraid to force feed him. You can get a syringe from the vet and fill it up with whatever wet food he's on. Plain yogurt is also good for cats when they're sick and can't handle much. Doing the same for water is ideal too. Cats almost never drink enough water, so I doubt he's drinking much at all while he's sick.

For the future, if your cat hasn't eaten in a day, whether you notice any symptoms or not, take him to the vet. There's probably something up and just from the lack of food alone, sometimes cats get extremely ill.

That's the thing; we didn't notice he wasn't eating! Two different people feed him, so we just thought he was eating with the other person. That and we'd switched food like... a day or two before and he's a notoriously picky eater. We thought he was just being stubborn, and would switch over in a couple of days.

Good news is is that he's 100% better. Eats, poops, sleeps, eats my homework... He's a kitten again T-T; I almost miss that sweet- "hug me now!" kitty, lol.
