Haha yes, that is indeed Rosie. What's even funnier is that Rosie doesn't really like me very much. That's why I'm holding her so far away from my face. Otherwise she'd bite my ears.

Those are awesome pics and Copper did a fantastic job, as usual. I envy you who live close to her and can have her take pics.

JimJam, funny, that was my first thought too when I saw the bird.

Hahaha well I've known her for ten years. In fact, she is the one who introduced me both to the joys of betta fish and to this forum.

Thought you'd like to see another mod picture :) No - I wasn't about to fall out of the window. It was taken in a hotel room in Assisi Italy.

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

Mod pics are fun. Have you guys seen the Admin? And does anyone know if Onefish2Fish posted a pic? Curious to know what he looks like.

New member, making myself known! I have a blue veiltail betta named Gamma that I acquired this past summer when I sublet a room for a friend. The house apparently came with this betta, and I was the only new renter even remotely interested in caring for him. I have been gradually upgrading his living conditions as I learn more about how to take care of fish. Upgrades are contingent upon how cost, but I did give him a 5.5 gallon home after he had been living in 1 gallon of water. He is now extremely grouchy whenever I place him in the 1 gallon bowl at cleaning times, but he absolutely loves his plastic plant, and sleeps there frequently. Next on the agenda is a heater and water conditioner. I'll post pictures of Gamma soon, but in the meantime, here I am. :)

I love singing...

Also fine dining (and what I can't afford to buy at a restaurant, I cook at home)!

My everything. :)

One of my big sisters. She rocks.

Will do! In the meantime, I have been letting the new water sit for 24 hours in a separate container before doing any partial or full changes, but I really do plan to start monitoring the water chemistry properly this coming week.
