Are guppies fun to have?
What kinda care do they need, well since Jet died last night I am left with an empty 5g (he was in the 5g cause he was a King Betta but I have 2 other normal Betta's in a 2.5, I wouldn't feel right having another normal male Betta in a 5 and my other 2 in a 2.5).

So I'm looking for option's?

You could divide the 5 in half for TWO boys.

Sequin (m), Shortcake (f), Westley (m), and Sir Righty of Walton (m).

Sweeda88: I seperate the fry as soon as they are born. I have a 2 gallon fry tank, a 2 gallon tank for each of my pregnant females, a 5 gallon for my trio, and a spare 5 gallon tub for my fry when they get older.

CjRanger: Thats interesting how your dark fry were all males, and your light ones were all females! I really don't like dividers because when I bred guppies before in like 2003 the babies managed to get through the dividers nomatter how secure it was.

Jaspersangel: I really like keeping guppies since they are small and very colorful. They're not hard to take care of, but keep in mind that if you buy males and females, they will produce hundreds of babies in a matter of months. You can get up to 10 males max in a 10 gallon IME. Alot of the females you see at the pet stores are already pregnant so unless you want babies, only get males. Besides, the males are much more colorful. Guppies have similar care requirements as bettas, expect they need a bigger tank.
