Everything sounds so yummy!! Here's one similar to skillet queso at Chilli's

Bag of tortilla chips
1 can chilli (or you can use homemade!)
1 small block of velveta or half of a large block
Additional spices as desired

Heat the chilli in a pan, and once hot add cheese and stir until it is completely melted. This is served warm, but best let to thicken for a minute or so. This can also be made in a crockpot for parties! Enjoy!!

Homemade Blueberry Yogurt.
About 1/2 cup of Nonfat, Plain Yogurt.
About 1/4 cup FROZEN blueberries
2-3 tablespoons Honey.
1/6 cup of oats.

1. Heat blueberries in microwave just until they thaw. Mix with all other ingredients. Enjoy! It tastes SUPER yummy and is better for you than store bought flavored yogurts. Add more blueberries if you prefer, and adjust the honey according to how tangy/sweet you like your yogurt. You can omit the oats, but it adds a nice, nutty flavor and texture. Plus, you can always use more fiber in your diet. I came up with this recipe myself, btw!

That sounds delicious! I'm going to have to remember that. Would it be possible to adjust the blueberries to strawberries though? (Strawberries are a personal favorite to everyone in the family.)

I'm not sure. The reason frozen blueberries work so well is because of the juice created when you thaw them. That's why it flavors the plain yogurt so well.

That sounds good, Sweeda! I'm going to have to try that. Blueberries aren't my most favorite fruit in the world but they are so good for us that I need to add them to my diet.

I'm glad you'll try it! It's so much healthier than store bought flavored yogurt. I think it tastes better, too!

Well since my dad loves blueberries I'll give it a try with blueberries too.

Also I have a recipe for a 'sauce' to go on chicken when cooking in the crock pot.

Three shakes of Chili-Powder. (For a kick and for added color.)
Four shakes of Cajiun flavoring.
A pinch of sea-salt.
One tblspoon of Sofrito (Spanish tomato mix.)
One Tablespoon of spanish Cillantro.
Two pinchs of garlic herb.
Three shakes of ground paprika.
One shake of onion powder.
Mix this togetherc in two cups of water and pour it ontop of the chicken. Add the spices again as a dry coat as well. I made it tonight and the chicken was falling apart and was so delicious. You could hardly tell there was chili-powder. If you have sage I would add a pinch of that as well. (It's annoying me that we're out of sage of all things.)

That sounds goooooood! I'm DEFINITELY going to try that this month. I've been trying to cook for my family more so that we can all get healthier, and I love how spices add so much flavor, but NO calories!
