Super rare!

WYR eat sushi or super rare steak?

"The time has come," the Walrus said, "to talk of many things: of shoes—and ships—and sealing wax—of cabbages—and kings—and why the sea is boiling hot—and whether pigs have wings."

"But wait a bit," the Oysters cried, "before we have our chat; for some of us are out of breath, and all of us are fat!"
"No hurry!" said the Carpenter.
They thanked him much for that.

Sushi. I prefer my steak medium-rare.

WYR eat garlic bread or pizza

Go back in time, provided I could get back.

WYR live in the middle of an African desert with no civilization to speak of or live in the middle of Greenland with no civilization to speak of?

I'd say African desert, provided I had a water source. Seeing as how Greenland is mostly ice, I think it would be much more boring/depressing

WYR eat a tarantula or a Guinea pig (both are commonly eaten in some countries!)
