ok i dont know what to do....
I found Peach our little lovebird dead this morning, i gave her a good look over everything seems to look fine and healthy. I looked up on what could have caused this and illness seems to be the only explanation, from what i read they can hide their illness very well until its too late. I had just taken her to the vet acouple months ago a week after she was given to us and he said she was fine and healthy, alittle on the small side which is due to the previous owner not taking good care of her.
I dont know what to tell the kids.

I'm sorry.
That's a rough spot to be in. I haven't needed to go into full details of death with the kids yet. You'll figure out the best way to tell the kids. *hugs*

thanks AS..... sigh
seeing my youngest girl cry is soo heartbreaking for me.
I finally told them what had happened last night and ..... i really tried hard not to cry after seeing the look on her face ... the other two were quiet for the longest time but it was Seraphim who really made it hard... i finally gave in and we sat on the bed and cried for alittle bit holding her in my lap... it took alittle bit but she had fallen asleep. sigh today she picked out a flower for Peach and placed next to the patch of dirt i buried her in. I think aside from the mice we are going to hold off on getting any more pets.

Going to make a pot of coffee and do abit of laundry.

It's never easy, but as long as they know they can come to you for comfort, they'll be okay.

thanks dq

the kids are doing alot better, grandma came over and seraphim asked to go back with her so they left yesterday. It was slushy through salmon arm, roger's pass, and banff but they made it fine gladly. My mother called last night to let us know they made it home and that seraphim was doing good as this is her first trip without me.
Its soo quiet without her around lol
