Mother's Day

What are you all planning for Mother's Day? I'm a Mom and a Grandmother, so I get pampered all day long! My husband and I are meeting my daughter and 15 yr old grandson at a fabulous restaurant on Sunday. I'm looking forward to a great time.

What do you have planned?

Heck, I haven't even been able to get out and get my Mom a card! lol We'll probably go out for lunch after church. She can pick where she wants to go. She was in the hospital last year but I was able to get there to spend the afternoon with her.

Well I'll be one of those pampering my mom, grandma's and great-grandma's. However, apparently I'm supposed to be getting a card from my puppy very soon, lol.

I actually have a lot planned. I'm going to a very nice restaurant with my aunts, uncle, brother, cousins, grandpa, step-grandma and great grandma. After that then I'm heading to my mom's house to be with my other side of the family which is having a party. It's a surprise party for the wedding anniversary of my great-grandparents (it's over 50 years) and then a birthday party for my great aunt, too. Plus the mother's day celebration as well.

I'm not with my mom, but I finished a painting for her and sent it a few days ago. She liked it a lot. I'll also probably be sending a card to her and my aunt.

As for me, I hope my bettas get me something nice!

My dad's probably going fishing that weekend so mom and I will probably go out to eat and do some serious girl time together. I probably will do her nails and pamper her like crazy. I plan on getting her a boxset of Firefly as well. Then I'll do what I usually do buy some carnations or roses for her and a box of chocolates or maybe make her a gift basket with conditioners, shampoo's, incense and flowers in scents I know will relax her along with some chocolate like Almond Joys or Mounds. I've also been known to make the best scrambled eggs in my family so I'll be making those and poached eggs for breakfast.

I'm gonna be really busy this year.

My mom doesn't care about that day, she thinks it's just a man made day. Haha
But I think she is happy to get things anyway!
So I will make her something.

I'm sending my mom and grandma a bouquet of flowers. My grandma has a particular favorite from 1-800-flowers and it's a big bouquet of bright yellow flowers with a lemon in the water! She loves it every time she gets one of them.

As for my mom, I was thinking of "Fields of Europe" - very colorful flowers all thrown together, kind of like a wildflower field!

As for my other grandma, I have no idea. I'm not exactly close to her. Maybe flowers as well.

I already know what I'm getting for Mother's Day (hubby isn't very sneaky ). I'm getting some Addi Click Lace interchangeable knitting needle set. I got my mom stuff from The Body Shop. My sister is currently living up here, so I got her something from The Body Shop too (I love that store).
I have no idea what we are all doing that day. I personally want to go to Five Guys because I LOOOOOOOOOVE the food.
Yeah, I'm not the typical "pamper me" female. Haha!
