Fish Nightmares

So it's always the same recurring dream. I am in my room, struggling to put my betta fish back into their tanks because they keep flying (yes, flying) out. Or sometimes, in other dreams, I have bought wayyyy too many variety of fish, and I am overwhelmed trying to place into in the right tank (again, because they keep flying out).

Anybody get crazy fish nightmares? I wonder if it means something?

I currently have only one betta in a 5gal. So I don't know where all these fish are coming from.

I have dreams like that too! Usually where my family (who knows nothing about fish) put more bettas in my existing tanks and then I don't know what to do because I don't have any more tanks but I have several bettas in each! It's always relieving to wake up and find two live bettas in their respective tanks.

I sometimes have nightmares where I find my dream Betta, and I have to fight and run from people trying to kill it to get it home, and it usually winds up being stolen, and I can never find it in time before the thugs kill it. They're usually dressed as pirates.. I don't understand it either. My dreams are weird.

Or sometimes I'll have a nightmare about someone I know keeping a Betta in a tiny bowl with no heater, no decor, and doesn't plan to do water changes. More specifically, most recently I had a dream about a friend keeping a little blue veiltail in a half gallon bowl with a Cory Catfish. Last time I had that one, I woke up very angry and almost called him to yell at him before I was fully awake.

I have another one that I can remember but I'm babbling. Those are just the reoccurring ones.

My latest fish dream involved having metal shelving full of tanks. They were situated so the tanks could only be seen from the side, not the front. The shelves were down really low so I could fit more shelves and thus more fish. The lids of the tanks couldn't even be opened without taking the tanks completely off the shelves. The top shelf was well cared for bettas, but the three shelves under that was full of goldfish in tanks too small. I forgot about the fish for months and wasn't sure how they survived and continued to grow. I freaked out and tried to rearrange them to get the bigger goldfish in bigger tanks but none of the tanks were bigger than 10 gallons and people kept coming in bringing me more giant goldfish in nets.

I'm not quite sure where this dream came from because I don't even own a goldfish...

I always have dreams where I keep accidentally harming my fish. In my most recent one I was trying to help one of my boys, but with every new thing I did, I kept messing up worse and worse, and every time I tried to right one of my mistakes, I kept making it worse. I was horrified that I was going to kill him!
I was so glad when I woke up.
