roborovski hamster

Does anyone else have a roborovski (robo) hamster?

I love my little Tinker but she is doing this thing now where she stands behind her wheel and runs only using her front two feet...does that make sense? Ill try to get a video of her doing it.

Im trying to figure out why she does this.

Im wondering if it is bc she thinks her nails are too long?

&also I have always given her wooden blocks but she wont use them? OR maybe she does I just dont see her use it and I cant tell if she is using it by looking at the block...

Hamsters are silly creatures! They're all different and all like doing different things. My hamster I had, Cinnamon, would climb the bars of the cage and go to the top bars and climb them like monkey bars! As far as the nail issue, it shouldn't be a big deal.

I'm pretty sure I remember reading somewhere that hamsters bite their own nails to keep them from getting too long...?
I had a hamster a few years ago, but I'm quite rusty on the information.
I used to use something like these but a different brand:

As for the weird running... I'm not sure. Is there something wrong with the wheel that makes her run like that? Maybe try inspecting her feet for cuts or scrapes...
Good luck, and she is ADORABLEEEE!!!

Thanks guys:) I have inspected her many times. she seems fine. She still uses the wheel the correct way sometimes...lol. But I will keep reading to see if she is supposed to bite her own nails...if not I am going to call a vet and see if they know. :) thank you:)

She's adorable!
I used to have a robo, her name was kiwi
If she doesn't like the wood blocks, you could give her something else to chew. You could try giving her mineral blocks like this, or a safe chewable toy.
