I was looking around last night, now that I have the net and can continue to research and live bearers like high pH water. Who here had the babies that didn't survive? Whats the pH?? I have zillions of babies survive, but my pH is nearly 8ppm.

I haven had a baby pass yet, of the survivors the big fish don't eat I mean. But I was searching Mollies and brackish water and how it's not great for them, and I came across the fact that livebearers like higher pH. My pH is HIGH, but it's always that way so my fish don't mind.

I think if they're born into it, they'll be fine. But it's good you already have it.

I just figured the one who lost all her baby mollies might be from the fact that her pH might not be suitable for them, or they were born and adjusted to a higher pH at the store, and the sudden change could have effected them.

You would not believe the amount of times I have had to tell the pet store that my pH is FINE, even though it's high. Its like they can't get it through their heads that stable pH is more important that what the pH is.

That's pretty true, if you can it'll be nice to get perfect Ph, but as long as it's stable it's fine. Neil.....
