Yes. An actually shark egg. With baby sharks. Saltwater. I could see the babies moving around inside it :D

No, silly Sakura! That type of shark lays egg sacks, this particular one had 2 babies in it. It was likely a captive shark. I could find the species, if you'd like.

As you can tell, I'm so not familiar with a shark's breeding behaviors. Only time I saw one give birth was on a Dirty Jobs episode when she literally got the babies scared out of her. So for some reason I thought they were livebearers of a sort.

Interesting. So someone dives and finds these egg sacs and brings them back to shore? Saltwater fish are fascinating . . .

I assume this shark was captive, but they could've done that. These aren't like great whites, they sorta look like giant catfish. Like 3-5 foot catfish. They are fascinating, I wish I had the money for one.....
