Tiki, have you tried frozen bloodworms soaked in garlic? Poor El Kabong.

Yuuie, the only commuter train stations here are in Sacramento. We used to have a train station back in the 1800's, early 1900's. The town was pretty much built around it.

5 bettas by the end of the year . . . that gives you 10 more months. Watch, you'll get a new one every month. :D

Night Yuuie.

Purty, Tiki.

Guys, I also posted in tfk but just in case, here are some pics. there's something wrong with my poor panda cory. He has a hole in his caudal peduncle. Not the tail, the peduncle. o.O And he is blind or has cloudy eye in one eye only, has for a while now. I don't know how to help him because cories are so sensitive to most medications. I don't get it. Tank is double filtered, 50% water changes per week. How did he get cloudy eye? There are no obvious signs of injury, like he got attacked and his eye got cloudy that way. And I have no idea how he got that hole. I suppose a tetra could have picked on him but that seems unlikely. Spackle hasn't been in the tank long enough to do that, he's only been in for three days at most.

If you look at the pics, you can see the red lumps above and below the hole.

I got him out and he'll have to spend the night in a specimen container (the same kind at fish stores), hanging from the community tank with saran wrap over the top so he doesn't swim out. I'm worried about him.

And when I went to check on my loaches, I guess I scared my spotted loach (now named DoWop) because the moment I removed the lid of the Rubbermaid, he shot right out of there and I had to retrieve him from the floor. Not sure but I think dojos have spines under their cheeks like kuhli loaches. My big gold dojo, Bebop, is super friendly and sucks on my hand. My little gold dojo, Teenybop, is still shy.

Sigh. I feel a little besieged right now. Going to bed. Night all. :)

I'm crushed!

Champagne has torn his tail. It's not a clean tear like normal.. but like it got snagged on something and a strip is hanging off, but it's not attached to his body, it's attached to the end of the tail. The only things on his side that aren't live plants are the heater, and the stone archway (bridge) he has to hide under, but has been mostly ignoring.

I did find a trumpet snail "Eating" on the surface of the water... it was beyond weird.

Hmmmm......do you have gravel or sand? For fish like panda Cories, they're so small they almost need sand. Something probably did attach its tail penducle, though. I wouldn't eliminate Spackle, unless the symptoms started before he was added. Let me dig up on of my old threads, it had meds for catfish on it......

I was just reading another thread and learned that Kinder Surprise eggs are illegal in the USA!!! Seriously?!?! (then I went to wikipedia) the USDA approves all kinds of scary hormones, growth chemicals, carcinogens on peticides etc. . . but 4 children are reported t have died as a result of choking on Kinder eggs within an 8 year span WORLDWIDE!!!! 4 people. So the USA cannot sell non-edible things inside edible things. Cool. You got a real winning agency there :/
