Well, I guess it wasn't meant to be. Now you can look on Aquabid. Do you have any betta organizations in your area? You can get some great bettas from the breeders in those groups without paying aquabid prices/shipping. Oops, I'm just encouraging you again, aren't I?

Got four guppies, is that enough? And still room in the sorority for at least one more girl, maybe two. Guppies are supposed to be the distraction fish to keep my girls from beating each other up until they settle in. Just brought them home and they're in their QT tank looking a little shell-shocked. I've never kept anything but bettas (and cats and one rabbit), this should be interesting.

kalae, get healthier ones than mine. They've only been home for three hours and already I can tell they have parasitic worms. Please don't ask how I know, it's best not to go into details. Dang. I knew better than to get fish at Petsmart but did I care? Nooo, just had to have 'em tonight. Poor guppies are all over the place, even jumping. Thank goodness they're quarantined in a 3.5g kritter keeper with a very tight lid. I don't know if I'm going to try and nurse them back or return them. I hate to return them - certain death sentence - but I also don't know if I have what it takes to nurse them.
