That sounds fine to me, bekah..... I would stay with a lower number of Rasbora, no larger than 10. If you aren't using real plants, you should use fake heavily, as I'm sure you already know. In my opinion, real looks much better, but just me. You'll love the 40i, I have a 10i on my 10 gallon, I LOVE it. It's silent, and so simple. It's awesome for Bettas, the suction isn't strong at all. Right underneath the output they'll get pushed around, but that's only to be expected. Mine is silent except for water noise, but my tank is open topped so I just put a brine-shrimp net over the output, and keep the water moderately high. Works like a charm. Good GPH rates, too. Sorry, I rambled a bit there.
