Try the AquaClear foam.

My dad is actually the one who bought the tickets at the liquor store behind the house on the way home. Heard on the local news that apparently 29 Californians missed the jackpot by 1 number, just like me.

Kfry, wanna take a tailbiter off my hands? He's only biting because he has to be in a divided tank. If he didn't see another male, he'd be fine. *glares at Curlin*

OK. I'll pick up a box and some more blue sand on my next visit to petco. 1 bag isn't enough when you have dividers.

I want something for them to be able to rest on near the surface - like a betta hammock but something safer.

amazingly enough I have no tail bitters. I also dont have any halfmoons to be biting their tails

Yuuie. how are you feeding your fry? Are they still in the tank with the parents?

I love Powerpuff girls. It's part of my e-mail address, actually. #^_^#

But he's so adorable! Send him to me.

Cripes, I'm in trouble. These new scarlet gems may only eat live food and I don't have any place to hatch brine shrimp. Best I can do is microworms or white worms if I get a culture soon.

I'll trade ya for the tail bitter...

Some site says they also eat frozen food
Quote:
Diet should consist of small live and frozen foods like bloodworm, daphnia, Cyclops and microworms. The Scarlet Gem Badis is a finicky eater, so observe carefully to ensure that what you offer is being eaten - and adjust diet accordingly.
what is a cyclop??

why r all the ones i like require a 55 gallon tank?

I think cyclops are a miniscule crustacean. Well, I've been putting frozen baby brine shrimp in there. No clue if they eat or not.

Ah. Yuuie, I ask because sometimes I'm not sure if my guppy fry are eating. I always take my guppy fry out and try to rear them in a separate tank so they don't get eaten and yet they never seem to do well. Wonder if I should put them back in the 29g and hope for the best.

My mother also just gave me a strong indication that microworms are not allowed in her home. Maybe I should just take the poor little buggers back before they starve.
