JimJam, I dunno. Both of my fish profile books say 20 gallon long for a pair. They get 4-5", 6" at the max but usually smaller. As long as no one else is in there with them, they should be fine because all they do is stay in one spot guarding the fry. I watched a pair at my LFS and they just went in circles around the fry. Once in a while, one would dash to the partition and try to chase away the fish on the other side but then it would go back to circling the fry.
But then, I was also thinking of trying apistos in there too. Gonna get rid of my neons and just keep the rummynoses and cory cats. Spackle is in the divided tank where Anonymous was because once his fins heal, Anon will get his own special tank. I owe him that much.
