Yup, that's a really nice price. And it comes with lighting too. It's about . . . $800 cheaper than my setup. -____- Fortunately, my folks footed the bill on that one, though I'm paying them back.

Tiki, are you okay?
yeah - 1st day of work after 5 months of sitting on my rump.

so the salamander things is an eastern newt and is aquatic once it matures but spends 1-3 years as a juvie on land.

ugh, think the aquarium kit I Was looking at is no longer on sale : /

Maybe they'll get the "premium" 25G one in. It's about the same price, but it's a standard shape one (should be easier to find a stand for it) and has a GOOD lighting system.

Good luck, Silverfang. :) Big bucks means spoiled fishies.

Tiki, wow. You'll want to look into setting up a paludarium for that thing. One half shallow water, the other half land. And I hope your back feels better.

Bekah, ouch. Being on your feet all day is hard. I hope you feel better too.

EDIT:
Tiki, wikipedia says air-driven filter so you probably want a sponge filter.

From what I found, their juvie stage they live on land but return to the water when they are adults.

My back hurts so bad I am dreading this weekend with 10.5 hour shifts >.< and tourists..i..hate..toursits...especially...rich... ones

right now its in something not much bigger then a petco cup with soil and some leaves that fell off a walmart fish plant. I think its like a XS kritteer keper but the thing is so small, you can barely find him in it. I see some tiny worm like thing moving around in the soil, maybe he will eat them? I also put in some daphina and blood worms since some site said they eat them too.
