I just hope it was temporary for the pic and that they put it back into a nice big tank afterward.

Sounds like I'm going to have to euthanize my poor Train. I can't do it. Clove oil just doesn't work for me so I guess I'll be asking my veterinary clinic to do it again. I found out that the worms I was sold were blackworms, not bloodworms. I don't think it would have mattered except he ate too many in one go. Since it was the first time I'd fed live food, I was still trying to figure out how to get them to him. The worms were clinging to the net while I tried to jiggle a few off and while I jiggled the net, he just swam up and started picking them off himself. Probably got 4-6 of them.

EDIT:
Tiki, seriously? The people on the forum were that insistent that you stay in a hotel just to keep the chinchilla cool? Do those people even realize that the vast majority of hotels won't accept small animals for health reasons? When I had my rabbit, I kept him cool by freezing big bottles of water (like the kind cranberry juice comes in) and putting them in his cage. He'd like next to it, his little nose just twitching away.

lol Tiki!! You're awesome!! As Sakura said, the frozen water bottle is a great method. (not like we frequently get too hot and humid -_-) I used to freeze bottles and put them in the pens with the bunnies. As they melted the bunnies would lick the cold condensation ^.^ I love bunbuns

Sorry to hear about Train :( Bubble hugs are coming your way.

are bunnies generally skittish? Never really been around one tbh. They do look cute 'n cuddly, but eh, doubt they'd survive around my kitties.

Wonder what lunch will be like. Apparently steak. Meh, it's usually bloody.

Eww steak!! (*cries) I do like the smell though when it's grilling with all kinds of spices. I'm a very odd vegetarian!! lol

Depends on the bunny. My Acacia is anti-social due to her upbringing (lived in a commercial size cage with mom and 3 other sibs) she's territorial and has been for 5 and a half yrs now. My other bunny was socialised properly at a young age so she was accustomed to different environments, didn't like being held but tolerated it. If a rabbit is not socialised it can box at you, grunt, or even bite (one of the bunnies was returned to the rescue after a year bc she allegedly bit the owner... honestly) Before Acacia was spayed she was the holy terror I swear!! So I think I'm prepared for anything any bunny wants to try on me!! Generally, rabbits need to be spayed-neutered in order to reduce "skittish" behaviors, which are actually sometimes enhanced by hormones.

My grandparents own a condo on the beach. That's where I was at. I also live in south Fl 15 mins from the beach. :P

I'm home from my vaca now, I've got class tonight again. I don't wanna be home!

Sweet!!
Also, can someone say AWWWW????? This is the bunny I assessed for the rescue today. Some precious thing, a little scared but he'll fit into someone's home nicely. I LOVE his ears!! So big!!! His name at the shelter is Bon Bon (I don't know if the rescue will change his name)
