Chocolate?

(Never say the "C" word around a chocoholic, or a couple of them as the case may be.)

Yea, Sakura. It's a lot like keeping the wilds together I guess. I just can't imagine that removing the dividers, Reuben and Gilbert would shred each other. Already said it once but they did spend some time together with no consequences.
So did Reuben and Kamikaze today. I cut my divider too short and Reuben squeezed through. Except they didn't have time to do anything because I dove in with both hands and I guess that was more urgent than killing each other. xD (Good thing I bought two dividers, the new one is a good size).

People in rural Thailand fight wild betta that they catch in the dry season and release in the wet season. This actually saves a lot of fish from drying up (see, fish fighting GOOD). Anyways these wild betta will just back down from a fight, they don't even touch each other. Sounds so cool.

*hides KitKats from CrabbyTabby*

The only reason our males fight in our tanks is because the submissive male can't get away. In the wild, he would have swum for the hills by then but in a tank, all he can do is hide in a corner and get wailed on by the dominant guy.

When Spackle slipped through the divider, he shredded Curlin's fins pretty good but both boys did live. Curlin's fins never did grow back right though. They're curlier than ever.

Yes, but wild male betta in tanks do submit! And those fish I mentioned in Thailand, are fought in JARS. And they submit. I seriously think it's a splendens thing. Which is kind of sad considering how much enjoyment my boys seem to get from being "together". But they can never truly be together.
