Kinetic, yeah. Red to blue is pretty normal. Pitluvs' boy . . . that was pretty darn unusual.

Sooo, I go to Petco to return the king. While I'm there, I see two girls and their dad. They're going to buy bettas. I would have ignored it all except I heard one girl say "We're going to make lots of betta babies!"

So I immediately said, "You can't put them in the same tank."
Blank stare.
"No, you can't put two bettas in the same tank."
Blank stare.
I go to find their dad. "You can't put two bettas in the same tank."
"Really? The lady told me two females could go together."
Here, I should note one was a CT female, the other was a CT male.
"No, they can't go together."
So they go to look at tanks again. And they got the dreaded Betta Bow. Yes, that tiny tank divided in two, barely big enough for one. AAAAAGH!

I did buy another king but he's settling in right now. Baby Aqua got kicked out of her 3 gallon and into the sorority, although I was originally gonna wait till she got big enough.

I lost my boy Spackle. I woke up this morning to find him pineconed but not bloated. Into epsom salt and IAL he went. Found him gone when I came home from Petco. :( I don't know what happened. I would put Aqua in his part of the divided tank but I'm afraid to. I might remove Curlin and scrub the whole dang thing.

And that's my saga.

Crabby, I'll toast to that. Except all I have is root beer. Red Solo Cup!

Did I mention my snails are going to be here tomorrow? Oh joy! Oh rapture! Oh ecstasy!

*sigh*

It looks like my algae wafers won't get here until Friday. Guess some algae covered rocks from the pond will have to do until then.

Apples are omnivorous and will eat betta pellets if you can get them to sink. I want pics of those snails the moment they get in the tank.

Deal. I will overload the bandwidth with them!

If they are omniverous, does that mean that they can they eat bloodworms too? Because I have some frozen ones that I can use. And frozen brine shrimp for that matter.

EDIT: Erm, the frozen foods were in their origonal packaging and everything, but they aren't exactly a recent purchase (the fish tank is all the way upstairs in my bedroom and they are downstairs on the ground floor in the freezer, and and I am always forgetting they are there). Are they still good, I wonder?

idk about fish food, but pretty much anything else stored in the freezer is alright for several months in my experience

Crabby, I think the frozen foods are still good. Might have a little freezer burn but I doubt the snails will notice. They will eat leftover bloodworms as far as I know but pellets would probably be best. Or put in a piece of lettuce or cucumber. That's even better.
