Mmmmm my rope fish will probably hit 2'. And that's if they decide to stay on the smaller side. >__>
I can hardly find any info on rope fish tank mates.
I know the the ctenopoma, bichir, butterfly fish, kribensis, congo tetra, african knife and syno will all do fine together.
But aqua advisor (of all places) says that once I add the rope fish I gotta watch out for my congos and kribs.

A 55 gallon tank is 12" wide. I don't think a 12" long fish would have a fun time turning around in a tank like that.

taking a break from fish-keeping.
3 lovely male betta still keep me company.

You also need to keep a good lid on the tank as reedfish like to jump. Also don't keep them with large preditory fish but other large peaceful fish should do well.

From what I read of them kribensis would not be a good choice as they both like the same hiding spots and this could cause a conflict of territories.

Hurray for you! :3

Personally I'm think of going to get that good deal on a 10g w/ stand and setting up mabey a guppy tank, they're such underrated fish.

The thought of the 90 still scares me... Was looking at the canister filter today.. my betta could live in those things. o-o I need hoses for it though. -__-

I don't like guppies. :O They just look weird to me.

IF I had a 10 gallon... Red eyed puffer fish. Heh.

I want a 90 gallon tank too but my mother would shoot me and it would probably crash through the floor. I don't think double wide trailers are designed to hold 1,000 pounds of water - thats the ONLY reason why my 20G is the biggest tank I have.

in other news, I now have more parasite meds then I know what to do with.
and anybody hear anything about adams flea medication? The beagle, 2 cats, and savannah are INFESTED with fleas. Bubbles is not and I want to keep it that way....I put adams flea med on him but i'm kinda skeptical about it since it was like $8 and frontline was $40. Advantix was like $70
