That's pretty good! ^-^
I would have gotten the hornwort there and killed the snails off it. But the lady would NEVER come to me. I had to catch a bus and on my way out we made eye contact. She will be the topic of my phone call there tomorrow.. Or monday, whenever the manager is in.

50 Live Aquarium Tropical Plants OWN CULTIVATION | eBay
50 stems for about $20 shipping included. I'm soo tempted. This store seems to have good prices, but I don't know if all of these plants are all low light. :s

edit: yup there's high light plants in the group. Gah. :(

taking a break from fish-keeping.
3 lovely male betta still keep me company.

Woah that's an awesome price!! I'll have to get myself on to ebay. Though I bet I'll have to buy some from the store. Matt and I talked about my debt tonight, I can't order things online!

Add more light! Most of the plants in my tank need high light...or at least do better with higher light. I put in a powerglo T8 18,000k bulb and it's super bright..makes the fish's color "pop" as well. Cost around $15.

Laki I've been looking on ebay and there's actually great prices, even with shipping. If you buy a bunch from the same seller they'll generally package it and reduce shipping fees.

18k kelvin... isn't that for corals? I thought plants don't absorb that high up the spectrum.

I think you're right Olympia, a 10k light came with my sorority originally, after I replaced it with a 6.5k light it made a HUGE difference.

Yea. Even high light doesn't go up to 10k I believe.

Ugh I'm such a baby. My parents went camping for the night so I'm home alone. I cut up cucumber for the farlowella, and just remembered that I didn't give it to him... I'm too scared to leave my room to get it. :(

All I know is my bulb is a T8 and cost $49. I needed the whole light strip

Is this the same thing that aqueon uses in their delux kits? like does it put out the same amount of light as their flurosent lights?

Olympia - what about these plants?
