Haha, I used to give my old tuxedo cat a bath when I was bored. Poor guy, he was such a good sport.

Going to test the pond for nitrates.

Back! They got bored of me after I let them hide pieces of carrot I brought around the room. The hairless one is actually kind of shy, the grey dumbo is sweet as heck and is the sick one we lanced before. The broken hooded standard is also very sweet ^-^ They all appreciated a friend I'd like to think.
On a much darker note, the betta she has is lethargic and sad and has perma-stress stripes. I think it's a female but I really don't know bc it never flares up.. Always clamped.

These are only from my phone so they suck quality wise. Once each of the ratlets. I let them run around the spare room since there is no furniture to get stuck under.

How do I know when the sand is clean? We keep rinsing a bucket of it, but the water is still cloudy. I don't know if it's dirt or stirred up sand or what.

On a side note, got my baby Percy a tank background. I hope he likes it.

Aaand, thirdly, I have another question, can I get this lid and put light strips on it?

Edit: Those rats are really cute.

You will always be my best friend, .

If you have a garden hose, stuff the hose into the sand and let it run until the water is clear. Just let the water over flow. If you try to rinse it and stir it all up you'll loose a lot of sand.

I tried telling her about the betta.. Nope. She's had betta's before that died when she did water changes and fed them pellets and heated the water. She doesn't understand why mine haven't died yet.

--- My response disappeared!!

Yes I think she's in denial. The poor fish. My friend means well but she really doesn't have time to listen to me. Maybe when she gets back I'll pester her a bit more. See if she'll at least do full water changes (that's what killed her last one....)

I never thought I'd be stuck in this rut dealing with an ill informed friend
