Yup, figured I'd put a happy bichir in there. To prove to you all that my design is good!
I drew this on my laptop.. mouse pad thing. I don't know what it's called. Hopefully my real caves won't do that.. We'll need lot's of silicone.

Taz, my buffalo heads are already starting to chase each other around and they're not even an inch long! They're also starting to darken up.

taking a break from fish-keeping.
3 lovely male betta still keep me company.

Is there a lot of space for them to claim as territories? They are semi-aggressive though not as much as a Auratus. They will go a little darker for a week or so as they get used to the tank.

They have a flowerpot. Hah, I tried giving them some more flowerpots, but 5 hours later they were all still jammed into a corner on top of each other terrified of the changes. Took new objects out. I can try again if you think it's a good idea.
I've had them over a week now so I think they're not stressed out anymore. Just they were little tan fry when I got them and now they are turning striped.

I was thinking in a week to try moving them into my 20 long to grow out some more. Hatchetfish, a little rainbowfish, cories and some shrimp. They'd have more fun in there than a QT, and they're still smaller than the shrimp but I'm not sure if it's a bright idea or not.

Shrimp are a little bit on the delicate side for the Buffalo heads, they may go after the shrimp.

No harm in trying the flower pots again, try and arrange them so it doesnt upset the territories if they have made any already.
They are cichlids after all and as such while not aggressive by cichlid standards they are way over aggressive compared to some species such as tetra even at a young age.
