Diablo, you're on!

Hi DQ!

Laki, could just mean you stirred up the gunk in the substrate. It might take a day for it to settle. Or, is this the new tank? If that's the case then you could be right about a bacterial bloom.

Raphael cat is not eating snails. Going back tonight.

Supposedly, according to one fish profile book, they love them. :/

I love him, he's a handsome lad but he can get 9" max and will quarrel with other nocturnal bottom-dwellers. If he can't earn his keep, I can't justify keeping him in a tank that's too small and has too many other bottom-dwellers. :(

Zzzzz. Hi everyone. I just got back from my LFS, and got the following.

Ludwigia Natans, Hygrophilia Polysperma, and Java Fern. I'll post pictures up later. :D Also I removed tons of water wisteria, they're taking over wherever they go. @____@

Olympia, no I got the Raphael for the 20gal to eat the snails. :( I'm worried that if I kept him, his spines and his supposedly quarrelsome nature would lead to harm to my cories and/or kuhlis.

So far, it looks the cichlids in the 20gal thing has come to a screeching halt. :( I may just have to wait until I can get a huge tank and a pair of big cichlids.

Laki, it could very well be a bacterial bloom then. If it doesn't go away, try another water change. And congrats on passing your course. :D

Micho, ohmigosh, your plants all sound gorgeous!

Some of you might remember that my mom has green marble rose tail Betta guy. I just check in on him today for the first time in awhile, and my expression was as follows: you see, he marbled to green. Not green and fleshy, pure green 0.0 he so purty.....

I love hygrophilias.

Aww.. no cichilds? :( I really like Texas cichilds, and black belt cichilds. And electric blue Jack Dempseys.
Speaking of Jack Dempseys.. I was reading some more on bichir and had a laugh at this part on tankmates: "Generally fish named after prizefighters, satan and criminals should be avoided."

Also, what do you feed Sparky? Is it this?
Hikari info : Hikari Tropical MASSIVORE DELITE
Or this?
Hikari info : Hikari Tropical JUMBO CARNISTICKS

Wondering if anyone in my tank would be interested in pellets. Though I may need something smaller to start.
