Oh lovely internet at home, how I missed thee...

OK so plants - is it normal for them to..get all rotted at the bottom when you first get them into the tank? Anubias and swords from tubs are fine, foxtails are fine but some of the others, the bottom part went squishy. Are they just adjusting to my water or do I need more light, mutrients...??

SAKURA - tomorrow I mail snails. I need those peanut things so they dont bounce around in the box.

ooo snails! My xmas moss from afar has got all brown ugly on the underside..but getting green now. Ive had them for about a month. I kept them for two weeks, just in a small square tupperware food container in the the window.

I think they liked it better in there than the tank.

omg just watched a guy eat a raw slice of venison filet .. saying it is the tenderest of all meats

OH its reindeer meat. He also said that the king crabs are taking over everywhere they live, and we help the population explosion when we eat them.

Sakura? do you have a marine tank yet? Perhaps you might like that? All those beautiful corals, I want one. lol. There is this gorgeous blue coral for sale on ebay. Too bad we done have fresh water corals.

Blue crayfish are kinda cool.

This guy on tv, just cooked potatoes in a deep dish ceramic, in the oven, took them out and placed the 2 fish on the potatoes, covered with foil, and a towel and cooked the fish from the heat of the dish. Thats cool.

Aahnay I love raw meat but after spending a year sick with dysentery, not anymore. But I think it was from sashimi, not red meat.

Tiki, PM me the total. :)

OHMIGOSH! I got my first batch of swordtail fry and they are the most adorable beautiful fry I've ever seen! They are like miniatures of their parents, so beautiful! I only have 4 or 5 as far as I can tell. Not sure if it was just a small batch or if the congo tetras ate some. I think I am going to put some crushed coral in the 20gal and put the swordtails in there so they can freely breed. Already have a prefilter sponge on the AquaClear, just need to put something over the Marineland Duetto.

I would post pics but I can't get the macro to work on my dad's camera. All the pics were of little blurry orange dots.

Hmm. Gotta find a place to put the male guppy.

And why does my mother want me to see a psychiatrist in LA? We live 8 hours from LA. Granted, the psychiatrist I see now is looney and the one she wants me to see is the cousin of my cousin's wife but still . . . why am I the only one being treated for craziness?

I think I am going to the fish store. Be back!

*dances off, happy about fry*

I got some API liquid plant food. Is that OK or do I need to get seachem's stuff? All I saw was the API one, tetra's flora-something and a small bottle by nutrafin? They all had the same ingredients - Iron and ???

also should I upgrade the filter on the 20G? Its an aqueon 10 (rated for up to 20g) but should I have something rated for 40 gallons? or is that only for tanks with goldfish and stuff. I do have a few poop machine snails but only 6 bettas in the tank

I'm sure API is fine. I use Seachem only because it's readily available where I live. I'm sure API products work just as well.

I've had that happen Tiki. Take them out and trim the dieing ends and replant. Hope they take. Careful, I know apples LOVE to munch on stemmed plants, don't know about yours.

Tiki, it absolutely never hurts to have too much filtration so if you can, upgrade the filter.
