You're fine on your cleanings..
Do you just not like them? I have planaria and twitchy white dots in my tank too but I sorta like having them around. The little white dots are food for tiny fish.

I am trying to finish up my food from when I got Gilbert. The hatchet fish like betta flakes. o.O I wouldn't wanna keep it much over a year, either.

Oh, geez. Had to save some fish yesterday. My mother-in-law got some Platys and Honey Gourami. However, she didn't anticipate her large catfish hunting them. Every night, a couple more fish disappeared. There are 7 out of 12 left. We drove up there and took them late last night, so more wouldn't die by the next day. I hope they do alright, they must be pretty darn stressed out. Moved to a new home, slowly picked off and eaten, and then moved to a completely different environment again.

You will always be my best friend, .

Thanks Olympia! At least I'm not the only one. I mean, I know people have them, but everything online I found is like "how to get rid of them.." so as long as they're beneficial I'm okay with them. I am kind of freaked out at the idea I might be getting them on my skin if I stick in my hands and during cleanings. I was actually having fin watching them and they're small enough to not really freak me out. They're too small for my fish to see. I think Bowser is eating the planaria though because the 3 I saw are gone. The dots are still there though.

Yes, they are nommy. All mine are in the filter now, the fish eat them off the glass.
It actually used to be a common high school project to cut planaria in half down the middle. It forms two new planaria. Or cut them half way, and you get one with two heads.

Woah, precision tools necessary. They're so small.
you're telling me these things are probably mass living in my filter?? o.o
I think it's cool that there are things living in my tank that my fish can eat. They're going to get bloodworms later today after work because the assassins have been roaming around and I think they're hungry.

Oh, probably Laki. If your filters are full of decomposing gunk like mine are. Actually, you were having some plant troubles, weren't you? That's probably where they came from, eating away dead plant stuff.

edit: I sort of have to hear about all the horrible stuff that happens on here.
Poor Candice, I've been trying to help her as best as I can. Some people are just rotten scum.
