Night Izzy!

I've only seen 50 B at a few places.

Actually, Crabby, the larger the tank, the easier the maintenance. You don't have to change the water as often and as long as the tank isn't seriously overstocked, you have more room for error. In a smaller tank, all the wastes and nitrogenous junk builds up faster and we have to change it more often. In a 180, takes much more time for that all to build to a toxic level (again, provided the tank isn't grossly overstocked). 180 stocked reasonably would need maybe a 25-30% change once a month if the filtration was good.

I think . . . yes, I do have potato chips! *crunch*

is it just me or is that a bit..macabre?

There is a lps that has some funky tank sizes - like a 70 gallon that is a square and some other oddball shapes

should I or should I not buy some MTS? I dont want a million of them

Food & Calcium Blocks

Nick-Named ' Snail Ganja ' By Customers!

Suitable for all aquatic snails and crustaceans including shrimps and turtles

Quantity: 5

Blocks Size (mm): 37 x 19 x 26

Our block contains ALL the nutrients your crustaceans / molluscs (snails) needs. Our blocks consist of a wide range of vitamins and minerals, as well as a high level of usable calcium. We have also added vegetable and sea food into our blocks which not only act as a food source for snails/crustaceans, but is also a strong attractant to the block. You may have noticed if you have tried some of the 'calcium blocks' on ebay that your snails don't take much interest in them. That's because they contain no or very little usable calcium. They are made from Plaster of Paris! Plaster of Paris is Calcium Sulphate - which snails and crustacean cannot use. It is useless to them and hence they do not touch the blocks. Our blocks contain a high amount of liquid calcium and Calcium Carbonate - both forms that can be used by snails and crustaceans.

I've never heard of that but hey, why not? If nothing else seems to be working on hardening the shells.

Why not ask Bekah if she'll send you some MTS?

I just had a dream about a big snake loose in my house that was dangerous. He was fed a poisonous frog that killed him. What a dream! Lol

Izzy, didn't you read in PFK news online that you shouldn't buy denison's barbs anymore? They are seriously endangered and all wild caught, or something. O.o

Ohh, yesterday I was talking to my bio teacher about "life," and she was telling me how hard getting into vet school is. She told me (on the side) that her husband studied for 17 years and used to work 120 hours a week (there's 168 total in a week). How terrifying. o.o He was a liver specialist/surgeon and now he's a university prof. Eep.

Yeah, that's why I don't want to be a vet. Too much work/hours for my liking.
